Through the power of community, quiet introspection, and sacred self-care, I’ll show you how to cozy into winter’s reflective atmosphere instead of dreading it. You can expect an experience that is simple, supportive, and practical. 

You'll slow your body down with yin and flow yoga practices, calm your mind with relaxation techniques, and explore your life with powerful journaling prompts. Along the way I’ll teach you the most important seasonal self-care practices to help you get the most out of the season ahead.

Winter used to get me down.


My name is Megan Roop and I help women to quiet the noise of their lives and tap into the healing power of nature.
 
I’m also a woman who used to get really depressed every winter. The lack of warmth, my discomfort with being alone, and the disconnection from my inner wisdom all left me feeling like it was Mother Nature’s cruelest joke. And worst of all, my inability to rest and restore left me in constant burn out.
 
When I slowed down and learned how to embody the qualities of this powerful season life started to feel less like I was constantly paddling upstream alongside societal pressures and more like I was in flow.

I created the Winter Renewal At-Home Retreat as a seasonal practice to guide change and transformation in my own life, but I want to invite you to join me because everything is so much more powerful in community.

I know life is hard right now and you’re wondering what to do next. But nature is showing you the way; all you have to do is quiet down and listen.

Q: What will I actually be doing at this retreat? You can expect an experience of community, quiet introspection, and sacred self-care. You'll slow your body down with yin and flow yoga practices, calm your mind with relaxation techniques, and explore your life with powerful journaling prompts. Plus, you'll connect with the other women attending, as well as get personal support from me around your most challenging questions. 

Please note: No two retreats are ever the same. Based on the application responses provided by you and the other women, the experience will be crafted specifically for the collective community. There's an overall flow and methodology that I'll be sharing with you, but the details always differ slightly from retreat to retreat. This is because I'm committed to meeting women where they're at and serving them from this space.

Q: What can I expect once I register? Once you reserve your spot, a member of the Quiet Adventures team will contact you to confirm your registration and send you everything you need to prepare for your at-home retreat. We'll send pre-retreat tools and resources that will help you prepare so that you can get the most out of your experience.

Q: Can I really do this from my home? Yep! Pretty amazing, right? Thanks to technology, you can experience this transformative work from the coziness of your home in you pj's. I'll guide you step by step on how to protect your time and space so that you can create this much needed intentional time for yourself. Then, I'll take you through a powerful process that will help you find the deep rest and relaxation that you’re heart and body are craving.

Q: Is this only for introverts? No way, love! It doesn't matter where you fall on the introvert-extrovert spectrum. You're not required to be a "quiet" person to participate in (or benefit from) this retreat. When I say “quiet,” I'm talking about discovering and listening to that still, small voice that lives inside of you. The one you need to step out of the noise of your everyday life in order to hear again. Our retreats are designed to help you hear your quiet and connect to your strength so that you can make bold decisions in your life no matter how much noise is surrounding you.

Q: What supplies do I need to do this? A device to view the retreat on (laptop or tablet will be best), your journal and something to write with, comfy clothes that you feel beautiful in, a yoga mat, a water bottle or cup of tea, and an open heart and mind. You'll also need a private space where you can be alone. This is a time just for you without your kids or partners so ensure that you have a room in your house where you don't have to worry about other people interrupting you. 

Q: What if I can't be there live on December 10th? If you can't be there live, no worries! We’re recording the retreat from start to finish and all retreat participants will receive a copy. You can watch the video when your family is still asleep one morning or whatever day works with your schedule. You'll also get all the info for the resource library to peruse in your own time as well!

Q: What time do I need to be there? If you're joining us live, we'll start at 9:00am PST on Sunday, December 10th. Please arrive 10-minutes early so you can get settled and feel ready to begin on time.

Q: Will I do this inside of my house or outside? Great question! For the 4-hour retreat, you'll be in the coziness of your own home. I'll offer you suggestions for simple ways to connect with nature that can be done inside. Then, if you're wanting more post-retreat I'll give you ideas for adventuring out of your home to connect with the natural world in a deeper way.

Q: This is such a busy time of year for me. How can I add one more thing to my already full schedule? I hear you! I know how full our calendars and lives can feel this time of year. My question for you is, do you have anything scheduled that's just for you? I have a feeling you're giving a lot to your family, your work, and your community, but what about you? If you don't give to yourself, you're not going to be able to give to everyone else ― end of story. But when you take time to get quiet, connect with yourself, nourish your mind, body, heart, and spirit, you'll be able to show up for your life as the grounded, strong, and empowered woman that you are. You'll be able to make the big decisions with less doubt and a lot more confidence. You'll enter 2018 rejuvenated, recharged, and inspired, ready to make it a meaningful time of year, instead of a stressful one.
